A bankruptcy trustee filed suit against our client, a major apparel company, but also filed suit against the owner of the company claiming that he had handled the company, prior to the bankruptcy, inappropriately and that he should be personally liable for all of the company’s debts. After a lengthy trial in bankruptcy court, the court ruled in favor of our client. Had we not prevailed, our client would have been financially destroyed by virtue of a judgment against him in excess of $2,000,000. The bankruptcy trustee appealed and we handled the appeal as well. The results were the same.
